I have a coaching programme that takes someone on a discovery journey, asking them to look at elements of their life through a future lens, and encouraging them to take stock of their habits and what needs to change to get them on the path to the future they want to have. This is called Power Platform and if you’d like to know more please get in touch.
One of the exercises that everyone does during the programme is to list out all the elements of their life – family, friends work, hobbies, exercise, self-care volunteering etc. etc., and to spend some time thinking about how these are lining up, if there is something missing, or if things are out of balance.
This is something well worth doing, and revisiting regularly to check in with yourself and apply conscious thought to how you are living your life. there are lots of ways of doing this and of course I can help get you on the right track – but as a start point, grab a pen and paper, and make a simple list of where you spend your time, versus where you’d like to spend your time. It might be enough to trigger some big thinking.
