Of course you are. Most people are, our lives are all lived at such a pace.
BUT. Within your work environment, talking openly about the fact that you are too busy means that it becomes a currency within your business. The more senior you are, the more powerful the currency becomes.
It becomes something that it is OK to be.
I have been here – during the early months of the pandemic it was my constant refrain. Big mistake, and one I will never ever repeat.
Constantly being too busy is an outcome of poor organisation, an incorrect structure around you, failure to delegate – or all three.
So, if you are always too busy, take a look in the mirror, take some action to correct what needs to be corrected, but also keep it to yourself whilst you make some changes.
