Energy leaks are something that come up a lot in my coaching sessions. They come in all shapes and sizes – big ones which show up as procrastination and small ones that are mental irritants. They also apply equally to people I work within a corporate coaching environment to people who I am working with in a more personal or life coaching environment.
Energy leaks, as I describe them, are something that distracts you from the job in hand, takes you away from a goal rather than towards it, or keeps you stuck. They can be as simple as being annoyed about the cobweb in the corner of the kitchen that you walk past five times a day, to as complex as living with a habit that no longer serves you, or a procrastination habit that is so severe it is impacting your livelihood and / or your mental health.
I hope that anyone reading this is nodding their heads at the cobweb, rather than at the procrastination habit but either way – there is a way out of all these energy leaks and that is to convert the energy it is taking into an action to remove it.
Don’t walk past that cobweb, don’t stay stuck with habits that you know you need to kick, and please don’t feel that you need to live with stuff that is weighing you down to a degree that it is impacting you profoundly.
The cobweb is an easy fix. Ingrained habits and concerns take more time. But, there is always something that can be done.
If this is something that you recognise in yourself that is holding you back, I’d love to help.
